The Remarkable "Ellerby Area" Hoard of English Gold Coins (1610-1727) | NGC VF30 | George I (1714-1727), Guinea, 1716, fourth laureate head right, rev. no cross bar to T in BRVN ET L, crowned shields cruciform, eight strings to harp, seven hearts to Hanoverian shield, edge obliquely milled, 8.29g [127.9grns], 5h (PAS: YORYM-18E848 = BM 2019 T668/213 this coin; MCE 248; Farey 605; EGC -; Spink 3631), repunched letters and haymarking below GE of GEORGIVS and to corresponding area of reverse, nevertheless bright but residually lustrous, softly struck at centres, otherwise a really bold fine, with NGC 'Ellerby' Certification, graded VF30 (#6380983-213)
