The Remarkable "Ellerby Area" Hoard of English Gold Coins (1610-1727) | NGC VF30 | George I (1714-1727), Guinea, 1715, third laureate head right, colon stop between D:G, rev. crowned shields cruciform, eight strings to harp, seven hearts to Hanoverian shield, edge obliquely milled, 8.33g [128.6grns], 5h (PAS: YORYM-18E848 = BM 2019 T668/200 this coin; MCE 247; Farey 595; EGC 504; Spink 3630), light flecking on the obverse and wisps of contact marks in fields, partial but handsome fiery-orange tone below bust and in upper quarters of reverse, good fine / very fine, and further accentuated by playful peripheral lustre, with NGC 'Ellerby' Certification, graded VF30 (#6380983-200)
