The Remarkable "Ellerby Area" Hoard of English Gold Coins (1610-1727) | NGC VF35 | William III (1694-1702), Guinea, 1701, second laureate bust right, rev. crowned shields cruciform, seven strings to later scrolled harp, ornate emblem-adorned sceptres in angles, edge obliquely milled, 8.28g [127.8grns], 5h (PAS: YORYM-18E848 = BM 2019 T668/144 this coin; MCE 186; Farey 440; EGC 426 [Type C/19], seven strings not noted; Spink 3463), a scuff to rim at 6 o'clock and the portrait softly struck, traces of flecking in fields, otherwise bright and lustrous, good fine / a pleasing very fine, with NGC 'Ellerby' Certification, graded VF35 (#6380983-144)
