Note: All film exhibition came under control of the "kaishas", or official Japanese Occupation government monopolies; the move exhibition monopoly was given to Eiga Haikyu Sha (the Japan Film Distribution Co.), with its headquarters in Singapore, and which took over all the theatres throughout Malaya.
