1883 (8 Jan.) envelope from Singapore to Fremantle, Western Australia, marked "Via Galle & King Geo Sound", bearing 4c. rose and 1880-81 10c. on 6c. lilac vertical pair, all tied by "singapore/p.o." double-ring h.s. in black and showing "singapore/paid" c.d.s. in red with arrival d.s. on reverse; the envelope with tear along top caused through opening. A rare franking, this being one of three covers to Australia bearing this issue that we record. Photo
