1816 (25 Dec.) entire letter (horizontal filing crease) to London, marked "per Warren Hastings", rated "3/6", showing good to fine strikes of the rare framed "king's ea/post paid/calcutta" in red (HG SD5) and the very scarce oval "calcutta/packet letter" (HG SD7), also faint arrival datestamp. One of the great rarities of Indian pre-philately and a splendid exhibition item. Photo
