A magnificent one frame exhibit, all neatly mounted and written-up, including:-

1884 1/6d., 2/6d. (3), 5/- (2) and 10/- (4 including a horizontal pair imperforate between), fine mint, 6d. (straight edge at right), 2/-, 10/- and £1 with manuscript cancels plus extremely rare 10/- and £1 on 1885 (5 Feb.) Quitrent receipt.

1886 handstamped wih control monogram in violet. The mint comprising 6d., 1/- (2, one with monogram inverted), 1/6d. (12 including a top left corner block of six, a horizontal pair imperforate between (straight edge at right and one with monogram inverted), 2/- (9 including a marginal horizontal pair imperforate vertically, a vertical pair imperforate between and a single imperforate between stamp and margin at foot), 2/6d., 5/- (3), 10/- (5 including a vertical pair imperforate between and two with monogram inverted), £1 and £5 (3, two with monogram inverted). The used comprise 6d., 1/- (2), 1/6d. (3), 2/- imperforate vertically, 2/6d. (a little stained), 5/- (3), 10/- (3) and £1 (4) 6d. marginal block of ten (2x5) on piece with a 1/- affixed on top, all cancelled by "Office of the Resident Magistrate/vryburg/british bechuanaland" large oval cachet, 6d. block of six (2x3) on piece similarly cancelled, 1/- marginal block of six (2x3) similarly cancelled and 5/- and 10/- on 1885 (8 May) Quitrent receipt.

An outstanding lot and a one off opportunity to acquire these rare and difficult stamps, particularly in this condition, which would be impossible to replicate. Photo for selection
