1872 wmk Small Star, perf 11 to 13x14½ to 15½ (4d.) dull vermilion cancelled by Barbados "1" c.d.s. on 1872 (30 Dec.) "On Her Majesty's Service" envelope to Jacmel, Santo Domingo, undelivered and returned to Barbados and subsequently forwarded to London, showing red crayon "4" and blue crayon "1", both deleted, and manuscript "1/-" and, on reverse, St. Thomas (3.1 and 15.3), Barbados "1" (20.3) and London (14.4) datestamps; flap missing.
