1855 (16 March) entire letter franked with 3kr. (2) from Fiume, by "reg. vice consolato di s.m. b.ca", addressed to the "imp reg. capitaneato di porto of lussin-piccolo" in which there is written in Italian the "notification of the blockade of Black Sea since 1st February by the English and French....fact of maximum importance for the Austrian maritime trade anywhere..."; the reverse with the consulate embossed seal and arrival (18.3) c.d.s. A vertical archive fold far from the adhesives and some ageing, nevertheless an important document of the Crimean War.
