1940 ¼a. to 5r. set of eight in marginal plate proof blocks of four in black on toned wove paper, ¼a. to 4a. with complete design, the rupee values showing frame only with a further two proof blocks showing vignette only, some bends, the ¼a. block with margin re-joined and the 2r. with one stamp badly affected by toning. A rare and appealing group from the unique proof sheet in each denomination.
