Provisionals Handstamped Star and Crescent on Stamps of India
1947 (12 August) Bahawalpur State notepaper (114x177mm) with embossed crest titled "Submitted for Approval" with India Official 1939-42 ½a. two vertical pairs and a single affixed, numbered 1-5 and handstamped in black, dark violet, light violet, green and red as a proof; all but the light violet ticked to mark approval.
Typed note on the reverse reads:

"Provisional handstamps (on stamps), approved by His Highness, the Nawab Ruler of Bahawalpur.
