MI, cut into at left, large to very large margins other sides and showing a portion of the adjoining stamp at right, tied by a superb, crisp and upright red Maltese Cross cancellation to entire letter from Beverley to Sheffield dated 26 Sept. 1840; the letter with sketch of "carriages on fixed wheel" across front and top and bottom flaps; light filing fold and punch hole on reverse. With R.P.S. Certificate (2003) stating "..... Sketch of "carriages on fixed wheels" drawn on lettersheet subsequent to use. This cannot be dated but is probably contemporary". Photo
