RL, no ray flaw and basal shift transfer, deep plate wear with close margin at left, superbly tied by orange-red Maltese Cross of Tonbridge-Wells to 1840 (11 June) entire letter to Durham, with Tonbridge-Wells d.s. in same orange-red ink and 13.06 d.s. on reverse. Folded for display and a very attractive example of both the worn plate and this distinctive Maltese Cross.
