1819-1950s collection of Irish postal history comprising a range of covers written up (30) and loose (31), better markings including 1819 'belfast/80' mileage mark, straight line provincial markings 'lisryan', 'sandholes/cookstown', 'riverstown' (2), 'bunnanaden', 'registered at /belfast' boxed handstamp, interesting 1870 (10 Oct.) mourning envelope from Ballymena to Malta franked with 1d. (6) and struck with 'deficient postage/2d. fine 6d.', instructional markings 'posted after/6.40.pm/at gpo dublin', other late mails, 1871 envelope from Dublin to Australia 'Via Brindisi' bearing 3d. strip of three, carried by Night Mail and bearing 'night mail/h&k pact' d.s., 1914 envelope fraudulently endorsed 'On His Majesty's Service' and charged '2d.' bearing ½d. (2) and 1d. postage dues in first year of use. A wonderful group of fine quality well worth viewing.
