1784-1840 a superb selection of covers and markings (15) including 1790 (23 July) entire from London to Lowther Hall, Westmorland, redirected to London struck with two initialled "free" d.s. and straight line "penrith", 1794 (26 Sept.) entire letter aboard H.M.S. 'Adamant' in Cawsand Bay to London with fine "plymouth/dock", 1800 entire from Europe to London with rare oval "s.t." h.s. applied in the London Foreign Branch office (ex B. Jay), 1803 entire from Bristol with "7/pp/p" circular h.d., 1808 entire letter with superb 'Coventry' fleuron, 1823 entire with wonderful framed "okehamton/5" clause post", 1829 entire from Bordeaux to London, 1839 entire letter with crisp "missent/to.birmingham" oval h.s. in red, 1840 envelope from Charles Yorke (Postmaster General in 1852) with "hamble/penny post"; also 'Paid' markings including "not paid penny post/c" and "paid/at/bristol". Mixed condition though a valuable group
