1770 (16 July) front from Charlestown to London rated "2N", endorsed "P Sandwich paquet, Capt. Nottingham W.G.P." (Whom God Protects), struck with clear "charles/town" handstamp alongside London "12/se" Bishop Mark, part of filing fold remaining indicating origin and date though separated and rejoined along one fold. A significant and rare Charlestown-Falmouth packet letter opening well for display.

Note: Carried on the 'Earl of Sandwich' which departed Charlestown on 21st July and arrived in Falmouth on the 8th September.
