An Important Elizabethan Document
1569 (10 November) entire letter with integral address panel from the Earl of Sussex in York to Sir Thomas Dauby, endorsed "By the Lord Lieutenant". Signed "T Sussex", generally fine with new paper added along opening though with near perfect paper seal and a very scarce handwritten letter

Note: Thomas Radclyffe, 3rd Earl of Sussex (1525-1583), Lord Deputy of Ireland and an important Tudor and Elizabethan courtier.
