1790 (13 Oct.) entire letter from Captain George Faith of the "Bessy" enroute from Honduras to London, rated "5" and showing fine unframed "deal/ship-lre" (S.4) with arrival datestamp (15.10) on reverse, the contents include "This will inform yoy of my having arrived...We was boarded by three ships of war who wanted to press our sailors....they now stow away, so I hope to get them all safe up if we can get past the guard ship in the downs"; 1793 (16 Aug.) entire letter to Plymouth, headed "Egmont at sea", showing fair "deal/ship lre" (S.3) with London transit datestamp (30.10) on reverse; 1794 (16 Dec.) entire letter from New York to Northumberland, rated "5" (deleted) and "11", showing mainly fine "deal/ship-lre" in red with London transit datestamp (5.2) on reverse; and 1824 (8 Feb.) entire letter from India to Edinburgh, rated "1/-" (deleted) and "1/6", showing Calcutta General Post Office c.d.s. and framed india letter/deal" (In.1)
