1842 (13 Feb.) entire letter from Manchester to Boston, marked "By West Indian Steam Packet to New York", carried on the maiden voyage of the "Teviot" and transferred to the "Dee" at St. Thomas and with red New York arrival (11.4); filing folds, fine. Believed to be the only extant cover to New York by this route which lasted only four voyages. Photo
