1821 (8 Aug.) entire letter to England, rated "2/4" showing good to fine "tortola" straight-line datestamp (just crossed by vertical filing crease); 1823 (17 Jan.) entire letter (light discolouration at right) to England, rated "2/4" and showing good to fine "tortola" straight-line datestamp; and 1828 (21 Feb.) entire letter (heavily soiled) to Carlisle, rated "2/4" (deleted) and "4/8" and showing, on reverse, fair to fine "tortola" straight-line datestamp; also 1811 (30 Apr.) entire letter from Liverpool to Tortola marked "P 2/6", and 1812 (21 Nov.) entire letter from the same correspondence, showing large Antigua fleuron transit d.s. (crossed by filing) and showing manuscript "2 bits" applied on arrival
