1869 (30 May) entire letter to Maryport, written by the Captain to the barque "William Wheatley", shipwrecked near Guantanamo, carried from Santiago de Cuba to New York and (on reverse) blue Moses Taylor & Co. forwarding agent's datestamp of 22 June, carried to England and with "8d." handstamp and arrival (9.7) on reverse; filing fold, fine and with interesting contents regarding the loss of his vessel and her recovery
