Bermuda
Packet Letters
Cunard and The Quebec & Gulf Ports Steamship Company, 1871-73
1873 (5 Dec.) envelope, complete with long letter, "per S.S. Perit" via New York to Philadelphia, showing "steamship/10" datestamp (11.2) on face with arrival datestamp (11.12) on reverse; clean and attractive with covers to the United States rather than Great Britain by this route scarce. Photo

Note: The contents commence with complaints by the writer about the time the "Perit" has taken to get to Bermuda compared with a Cunard vessel, and continues to comment on the north and south routes with mention of Halifax and St. Thomas.
