1881 (30 June) envelope registered from Nassau to Halifax, bearing 1877 CC perf 14 1d. scarlet-vermilion strip of three, pair and single, each cancelled "A05", showing red crayon "2", "registered/nassau" c.d.s. in red and, on reverse, St. John N.B. and arrival (13.7) datestamps. A scarce and most attractive franking. Also 1872 (4 Mar.) envelope (damaged) from Nassau to New Brunswick, bearing 1863-77 CC perf 12½ 4d. rose tied by "A05" obliterator. Photo for first
