1857 (22 Apr.) entire from Harbour Island to London, carried privately to New York showing "new-york/ship/5c" c.d.s. (5.5), "united states/6d" altered in manuscript to "17½", the entire then went through Clifton (near Niagara Falls), Hamilton on the 7th and arrived in London on same day. Here "missent to" and "forwarded" handstamps were applied and the entire returned to New York (16.5), on arrival in London manuscript "1/-" charge mark applied. Photo
