India: 1854 (19 Sept.) cover to Madras India, bearing 6d. dull lilac horizontal pair and 1/- pale green cancelled by London District numeral "13"; the letter was redirected to Kotirchery with the addition of India 1854 1a. red die I strip of three, with Coonoor (4.11), then Trichinopoly (5.11), and delivered in Kotirchery (5.11), with all the postal marks applied on the reverse. There has been some repairing and repositioning of the flap to enhance appearance, nevertheless a great cover having the Indian stamps cancelled in their first month of use.
