1847 (28 Oct.) entire to Melbourne "per Sydney Packet" and "Paid 1/-", bearing 1d. light red-brown, RD (defective corner) tied by a faint strike of Irish "170" numeral in blue, with Dangan despatch c.d.s. (date unclear and corrected in ink) and London plus one other paid c.d.s. in red, with "1/6" in red ink (charged on arrival) and another manuscript rate mark, the reverse with Sydney Ship Letter c.d.s. (10.5). Some edge wear has caused the right hand flap to become detached (included with the cover). An interesting cover to this scarce destination. Photo
