a103, 1842 (24 May) marked 'O.H.M.S.' and sent to Arbroath, with manuscript "2" uprated to 4d. by additional 2d. paid in cash, used contrary to regulations with Britannia left uncancelled, the only cancellation being "montrose" datestamp, boxed "arbroath" arrival stamp on reverse; central filing fold otherwise fine and unusual.
