(3) and showing framed "west coast of africa/aeroplane/1st voyage march 1937" in violet; 1937 (4 Mar.) envelope from Dahomey to Accra with boxed "cote occidentale d'afrique/aeroplane/1er voyage mars 1937" in red; 1937 (2 Apr.) 3d. registered envelope to London flown by French airmail and bearing 3d., 1/- and 2/-; 1937 (12 Aug.) first experimental flight envelope from Lagos to Accra bearing 6d. and similar for return flight; 1937 (7 Oct.) envelope flown from Accra to USA via London; 1938 (26 Feb.) envelope from Achimota to Austria flown by French airmail and bearing ½d, 1d., 2½d. pairs and 2d.; and 1939 (4 Apr.) first experimental flight from Lagos Takoradi.
