1870 (3 Nov.) envelope from Singapore to Edinburgh and redirected to Ayrshire, bearing 32c. on 2a. clearly tied by "D14" duplex, framed "insufficiently paid/for brindisi route/deficient postage/3d", the last deleted and showing manuscript "4" alongside, arrival datestamp (12.12) on reverse; the envelope with some heavy creasing which affects the adhesive. The only known cover from the Straits Settlements with this handstamp. Photo
