1886 (3 Nov.) envelope (complete with letter) from Captain Crawford of the 7th. Bombay Infantry at Myanoung during the 3rd. Burmese War, to Fife and redirected to Sterling, bearing ½a. and 4a. both cancelled by diamond of bars (Type K3; seventeen months later than recorded) and showing, on reverse, "myanoung" (Type D4; seventeen months later than recorded), Rangoon (5.11), Bombay (12.11) and arrival (30.11) c.d.s.; letter with some faults at top and envelope with trivial imperfections.
