1859 (8 Sept.) masthead of "The Natal Mercury" bearing 1859 embossed 1d. blue tied by c.d.s. cancellation; the adhesive with small tear on one side and newspaper masthead with some filing folds and faults as to be expected with an item of this nature, though a very rare survivor newspaper usage from this Colony. A.P.S. Certificate (2016). S.G. 1
