1872 (7 Mar.) entire letter from Singapore to Le Havre, marked "pr Messageries via Marseilles", bearing 6c. and 24c. tied by sender's chop and circle of bars, showing Singapore c.d.s., unframed "p.d.", octagonal-framed "pos. ang. v. suez/p.f. amb. mars" d.s. in red (6.4) and, on reverse, arrival datestamp (8.4). A neat and attractive double rate franking underpaid 2c.
