Sainte Anne: 1869 (10 April) envelope to Bordeaux, endorsed "Par Voie d'angleterre", with open Ste. Anne/(Guadeloupe) datestamp, red framed "pd" and black framed "p.p." on the front, transit and arrival markings on the reverse; fine. A remarkably rare cover being prepaid in this early period, probably prior to receiving stamps in the small hamlet. A lovely fresh cover
