1861 (1 July) incoming mourning envelope (faults) from England, endorsed 'Unclaimed', bearing 6d. lilac tied by 'london ec/ 11/ ju/ 72' duplex, red oval 'pd' handstamp below, originally addressed to a passenger "on board the schooner Celia, The Canary islands., pen redirection on arrival by the Island's P.O., charged '4' in blue crayon, fine 'bahamas/ship letter' handstamp at foot and reverse with 'bahamas/ sp 18/ 1861' c.d.s.
