Cape of Good Hope South Africa, 1 skilling, 29 June 1821, no serial numbers, uniface, with 2 hand signatures,
(unlisted), printed on card, some surface damage, fair. Old Cape Dutch money in denominations of rix-dollar, skilling and stivers were used during Dutch rule in the Cape Colony. From 1806 to 1824, only cardboard or paper currency were issued with no coinage. As one may have guessed, the currency were not very durable and are prone to damage or become dirty. Therefore this required regular reprinting and destructions of damaged notes. Very rare
