NGC AU58 | George II (1727-1760), Two-Guineas, 1738, first younger laureate head left, stop above head, rev. crowned garnished shield with rounded arches, seven strings to harp, edge obliquely milled, 16.70g, 7h (Stratos 164 same dies; SNC, February 1957, pp. 55; Schneider II, 570/-, dies 4/1, edge A; MCE 291; EGC 568; Spink 3667B), the circular die flaw apparent below bust and framing legends of reverse, otherwise lustrous, almost extremely fine, a very rare die combination not found in the Schneider collection, in NGC holder, graded AU58 (Cert. #6295557-001)
