PER CRVCE TVA SALVA NOS XPE REDE, ship surmounted by square-topped shield and mast dividing h and rose, saltire stops, 5.16g, 7h, m.m. crowned portcullis with chains (Schneider I, 561; North 1760; Spink 2265), slightly crimped and flattened with resultant weakness to Archangel, otherwise very fine, more boldly so at peripheries with accentuations of lustre in recesses
