Henry VIII (1509-1547), Second Coinage, Groat, 1526-1544, Tower, crowned bust right, reading FRANC, rev. square-topped shield over long cross fourchée, 2.52g, 2h, m.m. lis (Laker bust D; North 1797; Spink 2337E), a soil find, subtly crimped with a small flan split, struck details almost very fine; another, Edward VI, in the name of Henry VIII, Posthumous Issue or First Coinage, Groat, 1547-1549, Tower, three-quarters facing bust 6 right, rev. as last, 2.08g, 2h, m.m. martlet (North 1871; Spink 2403), clipped and cleaned, the struck details still above average for this base fabric issue, strictly fine, scarce (2)
