Henry I 'Beauclerc' (1100-1135), 'Star in Lozenge Fleury' Type, Penny, c. 1121, Tamworth, Leofwine, + hENRICVS RE[X], crowned and draped bust left, fleur-tipped sceptre before, rev. + LEFPINE : ON : TAMEPV eight-pointed star in fleur-tipped lozenge, voided trefoils in angles, 8h (North 869; BMC XIII; Spink 1274), official test cut at 10 o'clock, otherwise lightly cleaned and toned with die lines in fields, very fine, the reverse pleasingly so, extremely rare, only one other traced, a die match in the Hunterian Museum since the 18th Century
