William I 'the Conqueror' (1066-1087), 'Two Stars' Type, Penny, 1074-1077, Dorchester, Otarr, crowned bust facing, between two stars, rev. + OTER ON DORCES, pellet-tipped quadrilobe over cross bottonnée, 1.31g, 9h (Williams III, 355; North 845; BMC V, and no. 311 same dies; Spink 1254), slight die shift and softness at peripheries, otherwise nicely cabinet toned, a bolder very fine, a very rare type for this mint
