IN • OCVLIS • NRIS • Royal Shield set atop Tudor Rose, spandrels plain, 13.80g [213.0grns], 1h, m.m. rose (Stewartby [2001], dies A/c; AHH Virtual 159 this coin; Ryan 359 same dies; Drabble 165 same dies; Haswell = Lingford 880 same dies; Lockett 2071 same obverse die; North 2079; Spink 2613), a nick to I of IACOBUS and a tiny depression above Royal shield, otherwise a superb example, handsomely round and uniformly struck-up, the devices accentuated by flares of residual lustre, a really good very fine / nearly extremely fine, rare in this state
