FLANDRIE, tournament helmet above a slanting Flemish shield held by two rampant lions, rev. + BENEDICT : QVI : VENIT : IN : NOMINE : DN-I, double saltire stops, retrograde Ns, cross fleurée and feuillue, D' at centre, F L A N in angles, all within tressure of sixteen arcs, 2.31g [35.4grns], 8h, m.m. cross pattée (Théry 19; Vernier 18; Elsen 34; Delmonte 463; Gaillard -; Fb. 160 [105]), lightly toned with a hint of rub in fields, otherwise lustrous and handsomely struck up, extremely fine or very near so, and of the highest rarity, only 5,024 pieces originally struck, this example finer than the recently offered Théry specimen
