Charles II (1660-1685), First Hammered Issue, Sixpence, 1660-1662, Tower, CAROLVS · II · D · G MAG · BRIT · FRAN · ET · HIB · REX, 'Coronation' bust left, no inner ring or mark of value, rev. CHRISTO · AVSPICE · REGNO · square-topped shield over cross moline, 3.06g, 2h, m.m. crown (Bull 274; ESC 1507; Spink 3309), slightly irregular edge, and a staining spot behind crown, nevertheless a tremendous example of this seldom encountered type, some historic surface marks in otherwise lustrous and darkly cabinet toned fields, almost extremely fine, very fine and with profound eye appeal
