Commonwealth (1649-1660), Halfcrown, 1653, Tower, second N over inverted N in ENGLAND, shield of England within palm and laurel wreath, rev. conjoined shields of England and Ireland, mark of value above, 15.13g, 9h, m.m. sun (on obverse only) (Bull 30; ESC 431A; North 2722; Spink 3215), some minor metal flawing to an otherwise handsomely fully and largely round flan, pleasingly cabinet toned, good very fine, rare in this 'fresh' condition
