(x) The campaign mounted group of three miniature dress medals worn by to Lieutenant-Colonel T. S. Parrott, who founded and led the Australian Mounted Pioneer Corps - the famed 'Flying Sappers', the 'Fighting Parrott's' - during the Boer War, he had previously been a founding officer of the New South Wales Contingent and served at Suakin in 1885, on the first occasion that Australia had raised a military force and deployed it overseas
Egypt and Sudan 1882-89, undated reverse, 1 clasp, Suakin 1885; Queen's South Africa 1899-1902, 4 clasps, Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Johannesburg, Diamond Hill; Volunteer Forces Officers’ Decoration, V.R.I., together with the riband for the Khedive's Star 1884-6, locally mounted with wire and two safety pins as worn, very fine (3)
