Harold Boswarick Williams was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Flying Corps on 1 March 1918 and was listed as a Kite Balloon Officer upon the institution of the Royal Air Force. Confirmed 2nd Lieutenant on 5 July 1918, he remained on Home Service (BWM only).
Promoted Flying Officer on 23 August 1919, he flew in Iraq with No. 30 Squadron, which was commanded by Flight Lieutenant Raymond Collinshaw, operating D.H.9's.
Having completed his tour, Williams joined the 'Boy's Wing' at R.A.F. Cranwell on 8 August 1922 and was placed on the Reserve in May 1926; sold together with copied research.
