222 'Somaliland 1920' clasps issued to the Royal Air Force.

Christopher Riley was born at Liverpool on 1 May 1901 and was a seafaring steward upon his joining the Royal Air Force on 23 July 1919. Having served aboard Ark Royal during the operations in Somaliland, he served with No. 208 Squadron from 27 April 1920-13 January 1921. Transferred to the Reserve in July 1923, he was given permission to return to a 'seafaring life' in August 1924, although this was later withdrawn.
