(x) Queen's South Africa 1899-1902, 3 clasps, Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal (Scout F. Gush. Montmorency's Scouts), good fine and better

Raised by Captain the Honourable R. De Montmorency VC, 21st Lancers, in December 1899, Scout F. Gush joined the 100-strong unit on 19 January 1900 and was discharged in July of that year. Montmorency's Scouts saw much fighting in a very short space of time, additionally losing the aforementioned Captain Montmorency who was mortally wounded in action at Stormberg on 23 February 1900.
