(x) Queen's Sudan 1896-98 (4922 Pte. T. McCrory. 1/Sea: Hrs:), edge cut and stain, nearly very fine
Thomas McCrory was born at Rutherglen, Lanark in 1875 and was a miner by trade upon his enlistment. Having served in the East Indies, Malta, Crete - during the International Intervention - he went on to serve in Egypt and Sudan from 5 January 1898-3 January 1902 (Queen's Medal, Khedive's Medal & 2 clasps). McCrory also served in South Africa during the Boer War (Queen's Medal & 4 clasps). He served at home until his discharge on 29 March 1906.
