Henry VII (1485-1509), Angel, Autumn 1495 - Michaelmas 1498, Type IIIc, Tower, large lettering, St Michael vanquishing Dragon, rosette stops, rev. reads CRVCEM and RED, double saltire stops, 5.11g, 11h, m.m. pansy (Schneider I, 526; North 1696; Spink 2183), struck with rusty dies, the flan crinkled but otherwise largely full, near very fine, a common issue but nevertheless keenly sought after in today's market place

Previously purchased December 2008 from George Martin for £1378.
